Lualaba Expeditions is the licensed, locally-based DMC (destination management company) for Kolwezi and Lualaba Province — the only market covering copper/cobalt mining heritage, Kundelungu and Upemba National Parks, Lumumba Memorial history, and Katanga cultural immersion under one operator. We work directly with tour operators, wholesalers, and travel agencies who want to add this region to their DRC or Southern/Central Africa programs without building ground-handling capability of their own.
What we handle for you
- Ground handling: all logistics on the ground in Kolwezi and Lualaba Province — vehicles, guides, permits, and itinerary execution — under our own operation, not subcontracted.
- Visa facilitation: we facilitate the visa process for your clients, including the invitation letter required for the DRC e-Visa application, so this doesn't fall on your team to manage.

- FIT and group itineraries: our five core tours (Mine Heritage, Parks & Nature, Lumumba Memorial, Cultural Immersion, and the extended Beyond Kolwezi circuit) can be booked as-is or built into custom multi-day programs for FIT travelers or groups.
Why this region, why now
Kolwezi and Lualaba Province are genuinely underrepresented in DRC and Central Africa travel programs, despite a large resident international workforce already moving through the region and a growing "underrated destination" travel narrative. We're a small, real, DRC-registered operator — not an aggregator — so every itinerary we quote is one we can actually deliver.
